ATLANTA UNITED FC

MLS expansion team Atlanta United joined Major League Soccer in 2014. I had the opportunity to work on all aspects of design resulting in a team identity that is timeless and authentic to Atlanta.

Responsible for design of all team identity elements including logo, type, color and uniform design.

BOSTON ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

The Boston Athletic Association has the oldest and most prestigious marathon in the world. The challenge the organization faced as they looked to grow was to how to grow their brand without sacrificing what makes the marathon elite. The solution was to modernize the logo and create a club and event logo that can be activated throughout the year..

Responsible for marathon and club logo and type creation.

ANTHM COLLECTIVE

Anthm collective is a group of cyclists passionate about the outdoors and conservation who are brought together by the common bonds of riding and a desire for thoughtfully considered and well designed products. The goal for the brand was to create a visual language that is both confident enough to feel best in class,, but not so serious that it feels exclusive. The result is an identity system that is versatile and progressive.

ATHLETE LOGOS

 

DAMIAN LILLARD

Drawing on Dames ability as a player of endless talent with next level versatility. A D and L come together to form the O representing his journey from Oakland to Oregon. The wings are the symbol of this perseverance having been often overlooked and underrated creating a chip on his shoulder.

 
 

KRISTAPS PORZINGIS

Taking references from Latvian folk symbology and activating it for a modern athlete . The result is a mark as unique as KP’s ability.

 
 

JOHN WALL

Drawing reference from John’s dynamic movements on the court. His ability to “cross-up” defenders was used as the foundation to create his logo.

NBA ALL-STAR 2016

Not well known is that the game of basketball originated in Canada. This was an opportunity to highlight Toronto as an emerging market for the NBA.

Responsible for concept ideation, identity and graphic system.

NBA ALL-STAR 2015

Paying respect to NYC as the home of street ball the design language is unapologetic yet understandable. References of NYC and streetwear culture.

NBA Christmas Day 2015

Referencing the letters that are written to Santa during the holiday season. A heritage style uniform paired with a Christmas style hand drawn script were used to active this event.

NBA ALL-STAR 2014

In a city know for celebrations, the goal was to activate the athletes and the event in a bold manner. Inspiration was pulled from local cultural elements such as Jazz and voodoo creating a look that is distinctly New Orleans..

NCAA ARMED FORCES CLASSIC 2016

Honoring the USA Armed forces by referencing the American iconography, specifically our flag. A holistic on-court message was activated through Indiana wearing stars vs. Kansas in stripes.
